So once again this will be a placeholder blog for the nice long blog post that I will make. Tonight’s excuse is a good one though….SCRABBLE!
My friend Erica and I played in a Scrabble tourney to benefit the R.E.A.D. foundation. I can’t even tell you what R.E.A.D. stands for. Really Excellent Awesome Dudes? Probably. I don’t know, something about literacy and the childrens. Good cause, plus appetizers, plus Scrabble = SWEET. Also, I think I ate hummus. Not really sure.
We came in 11th out of 30 teams, which is a marked improvement over last years finish. We even completed an entire game in 30 minutes. That’s pretty hard to do when it’s two on two and you are trying to double check with your partner on every play and the other team is doing the same. It was a good time. Next year, we better crack the top 10. I’m looking at you, Erica.
Other than that I worked 11 hours today doing stuff like this:
One of our customers didn’t like that we had only used the extension that is currently there, and requested the longer one to be put on. This is the kind of stuff that sets us apart from other companies, and I’m glad we just suck it up and take care of it free of charge. The good publicity you get from doing things like this for free to make a customer happy is well worth it. It’s business karma. I’m a fan.
Here’s what the hair is looking like these days…pretty gruesome. My mom asked me how I’m going to be able to provide her with grandchildren, looking like this:
I reminded her that she has another son:
She’s not having grandkids any time soon.
Alright it’s past my bedtime. I’m OUT.
Tomorrow I PROMISE will be a larger post. 🙂
I’m specifically liking the Alex joke. Classic.
I thought it was a clever way to say “Sorry mom, ain’t happenin” Thanks for sticking with the blog dude! Tell me you are coming to the All Hallows Eve shindig!
I’m pretty sure Erin and I will be there. She loves Halloween and we’re looking for fun costumes.
